FGCU Provost Series 2025

The FGCU Provost’s Seminar Series kicked off the spring semester with “The Origins of Rock and Roll” led by Dr. Clay Motley, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

This series brings world-class scholars to the FGCU community and supports the university's strategic goal to innovate in academic excellence and elevate partnerships for regional impact.

Check out the upcoming seminars for the spring 2025 semester (all events are from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Academic Building 9, Room 106):

Distinguished Engineer

Edward J. Grace, Naples, FL, has been inducted into the University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Engineering’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers.


The Academy, which has inducted 246 total members since its inception in 2003, honors School of Engineering alumni and Connecticut engineers whose careers have been characterized by their sustained and exemplary contributions to the engineering profession through research, practice, education, policy or service. Members are individuals who bring enduring honor to their alma mater as practitioners and as citizens.
